August 17, 2010 Crafting - We will be finishing up the craft that we started Aug. 3rd. We have the red and green fabric for the two background squares. If you have any scraps, 4inch or bigger in bright lime green for the tree, red for the heart and plaids for the mitten bring them. The fabrics can be polar fleece, velvets, taffeta etc. The mitten would also be cute in a piece of recycled sweater. Also trims or pretty yarns or cording to border the inside square. In this hot weather it's a good time to clean out the sewing room and bring us your snippets. We also need sewing machines 3 or 4. You will need hand sewing needles, thread (Red and Green) and scissors. Also we will be cutting out aprons if we have enough people. So bring any fabric to donate to that either for garden aprons for kids or cooking aprons for adults. Cooking - 10 Pepper Chutney To see a schedule of

Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

The Tulsa Herb Society was formed in 1988 by a group of herbal enthusiasts. The purpose of our organization is to foster the appreciation, study, culture, history, and use of herbs. In addition, society members share their time and experience in each others gardens. Friendships grow that become priceless. |
